Overview of role:



We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for our client in the construction industry based in Dublin 22. This is an excellent opportunity for a Financial/Cost Accountant to take the next step in their career. This is a full-time, permanent role with excellent package of up to €75K DOE.

We are looking for a commercial individual with exposure in advising senior management on tax and financials, managing, and liaising with financial institutions, revenue, and other stakeholders. This role reports directly to the COO.


Full Transactional Responsibility, process and oversee full spectrum of financial and cost accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and cash management.

Maintenance and management of company asset base including fixed assets, leased assets, cash management, credit collection, treasury, company fleet etc.

Responsible for weekly, monthly & quarterly accounts and preparation of reporting packs.

Compile annual returns, monthly management accounts, external reporting, tax compliance (VAT, RCT RTD etc) and support the coordination of the audit process for the 2 companies of the group.

Management of key internal and external relationships.

Responsible for Group Insurance required for projects, credit and normal business transactions.

Develop and maintain effective internal finance control procedures in conjunction with the CEO and COO.

Manage month-end and prepare monthly reports.

Drive business planning, budgeting, forecasting and provide costing and KPI reports.

Perform project profitability analysis monthly reporting to the management team.

Responsible for doing the Weekly and Monthly Payroll.

Responsible for any Company Secretarial functions.

Functional Coverage around Treasury Reporting and Increase the accuracy of cash flow forecasting.


Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE.

IT proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems.

Strong analytical ability, excellent numerical skills and good attention to detail.

Able to prioritise, multi-task and work to strict deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Experience in the construction industry is an advantage for this role.

Ability to work on your own initiative, be motivated and a good team player.

Flexibility to support all team members and willingness to ensure team goals are achieved.

SME experience is essential.

Strong stakeholder management experience.
