Overview of role:



The chosen candidate will be based full time on one of Irelands largest construction projects.

Description of Role:

We are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Manager to assist in the management of a large commercial project, the candidate will be site based and will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of all EHS aspects of the project. The candidate will work alongside the management team.

As part of our health & safety team your primary role will be to support the installation of capital asset equipment at the construction site. You will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of safety statements, legislation and company policy across the site and that all relevant safety documents are completed and filed correctly as well as training employees on the importance of health and safety on the job.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide EHS management to the site team

Carry out Risk Assessments & complete Method Statements as required

Carry out site safety inspections and conduct accident and dangerous occurrence investigations, within your designated area of responsibility

Liaise with Site Managers to ensure Health and Safety documentation is up to date on site

Maintain and track the accident and dangerous occurrence register

Drive a safety culture by being a champion of best practice; conducting training for new and existing employees on the importance of health and safety on the job; and by suggesting improvements to existing methods of work

Liaise with the client & management as required

Provide a weekly site audit and progress report to the client and Management


A minimum of a Level 7 qualification in Health and Safety

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

A strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice

You must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint), and a general competence in using new technologies (Mobile Apps etc.)

You must possess a full driving licence

Salary will range at €55K+ Depending on experience
