Overview of role:
Description:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager for a large Supply Chain company based in the Dublin 24 area.
As a Human Resources Manager you will provide the HR department and management team with crucial leadership and guidance on an everyday basis in line with business goals. You will oversee the important decisions within the HR department regarding aspects such as employee relations, business management and human resources software.
You should possess significant leadership and management experience with extensive technical knowledge about the human resources field.
You will oversee a head count of 125 employees over 3 sites in Ireland, with a team of 2 direct reports in the HR team in Dublin and the support of a HR Business Partner and team in UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Ensure compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legal requirements and conducting investigations
- Point of contact for escalated issues
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
- Represent the company at third party hearings when necessary
- Provide HR support and guidance in the delivery of the people and organisational strategy, assisting the improvement of employee relations Staffing & Recruiting
- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
- Support and promote the established screening and interviewing processes
- Counsel hiring managers on candidate selection
- Conduct and analyse exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data received Compensation & Benefits
- Continuously review and develop attractive employee compensation, benefits program and benchmarking
- Create and update the employee pay and benefits package for different employee groups
- Be the point of contact for the HR software
- Assist with pay structure revisions and implementation
Training & Development:
- Create and manage a performance appraisal system that drives employee performance, engagement, and effective development in partnership with Learning and Development
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs within the human resources department
- Design training programs based on practical methods that include new learning technologies and training facilitators
- Arrange seminars, workshops and conferences based on each department’s needs
- Organise a comprehensive new employee orientation and engage new staff onboarding
- Plan training sessions for sensitive subjects such as diversity and sexual harassment Employee Wellness & Safety
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Schedule and conduct job evaluations and take action to improve employee’s experience
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and/or other issues General HR Administration
- Drive region hr initiatives and projects
- General HR administration tasks
Requirements:
Suitable candidate should have following to qualify for this role:
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or similar field
- CIPD membership
- 5+ years of experience driving results in the human resources field
- Previous experience managing employee relations and compliance
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics and knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Willingness and flexibility of travelling to other sites across Ireland & also visiting UK Head Office for training and development
