Sales Administrator – Freight Forwarding Department

Overview of role:

Dublin North


We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Sales Administrator to support a busy sales department within a Freight Forwarding company based in Dublin 15 area

Suitable candidate must be experienced in deep sea and air freight forwarding. Numeracy and fluency in English written and verbal, are key skills. 60% approx. on their working day will be spent pricing/quoting and accuracy is essential.



  • Collate rates, prepare quotations and follow up with customers and prospects
  • Process bookings and liaise with customers
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers
  • Assist with the preparation of written proposals, tenders and presentations
  • Maintain rate sheets, databases and CRM systems
  • Assist with sales campaigns and events
  • Prospect for and qualify new leads
  • General administration to ensure the efficiency of the department


Suitable candidate must have following:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy sales support or administration position within the freight forwarding industry is essential
  • Essential skills: numeracy, organisation, time management, attentive to details and fluency in English – written and oral
  • Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience with Azyra freight system is desirable
  • Good problem-solving skills and willingness to use initiative
  • Team player working within a small, close-knit team

Salary on this position will range from €32K to €35K depending on experience
