Overview of role:

Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Ocean Freight Forwarder for our client in the freight industry based in Dublin North.

Responsibilities:

Complete import entries and oversee general operations for LCL sea freight shipments and road freight service
Monitoring shipments from point of customer booking to arrival at final destination and customer payment
Day to day operations to include dealing with customers/customs clearance/invoicing/creditors invoices/customer & other reports/other administration duties
Customs Clearance awareness – SAD’s, requirements etc.
Delivery scheduling and dealing with Hauliers / subcontractors and third parties
Maintain working relationship with the shipping department and customers
Maintaining and / or implementing good working practices & procedures to ensure that departments run efficiently and with professionalism
Dealing with rate requests and issuing quotations
General office duties

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (imports) within a busy freight company
Experience in road and sea freight
Irish customs experience
Good knowledge of tariff codes
Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent customer service skills with strong ability to build and maintain relationships
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines

This is a full-time, permanent role with salary of €38K – €45K DOE, plus bonus and pension.
